I don’t know if a web-based Java applet differs very much codewise from executing it on a PC… If the runtime environment is up to date on the clients’ computers, I can’t see why it would be much of a problem. Just javac it into a .class and Google “embed java”. Let me know how it turns out.

maybe bus shelters should be included in the smoking ban!

Some of them are; it depends what type of shelter it was, check this page, near the bottom, for what constitutes a banned place or not. If the bus shelter looks like the picture on the left, Mrs. Cigarette was breaking the law!

A world without emotion would be pretty boring. For a start nothing would get done, because there would be no insentive to do so.

I personally value personal development, the best achievements are the one’s that lead to something beyond where you already are.
Finishing college and going to University, getting a high degree from University and getting a decent job. Obviously it helps if you enjoy these things as well.
Never giving up, unless what you are doing was ridiculously stupid. Then I think giving up probably counts as an acheivment.

Bah, a drug that eliminates emotion would never work, but maybe there should be a drug that gets rid of *emo*?

Depends if there’s a logical reason to want to do better. But the way I see it, people try hard to do better to be happier, so people without emotion have no purpose, because they can’t make themselves happy. Of course, people who live “for God” would still be able to live to please Him, so maybe we should limit the drug to those people?
